  1. Interesting article out of Science Alerts about a trail of footprints up the flank of Roccamonfina dated some 350,000 years ago. Locally, the trail is called Ciampate del Diavolo (Devil’s Trail). The walk took place shortly after a major eruption while the ash was still warm. Interesting discussion is who or what made the tracks, as they may predate Homo Sapiens by as much as 35,000 years. Cheers –
